Alpha Plus has been guiding my career for over 4 years now. I first went to alpha plus in 2014 after hearing about actuarial science and was deeply convinced for this path. However, i knew a little about this course so i blindly put my trust in this institute and today i can say that I'm pretty glad i did. I have cleared 6 actuarial exams and I'm currently working in Mercer as Actuarial Analyst. All thanks to alpha plus, be it the teachers who possess great knowledge or the receptionist, for always taking out time for me in guiding my journey.
A bud can grow into a flower only under the supervision of a correct gardner. So is the case with Alpha plus. As an actuarial institute it provides you with the correct atmosphere to grow and flourish. The support and friendly environment here cannot be found elsewhere. Since i started my actuarial journey ....untill today ( after clearing 5 exams) the constant encouragement of Alpha plus' s faculty has held me firm in my path to success.
Actuarial is a skill based career requires high level application of Stats, economics and mathematics.Demand for Actuary and actuarial students has increased if compare from past, indicating high level of opportunity and success after completion of ample amount of actuarial exams. After clearing 2 actuarial exams, Alpha plus helped me to forward my CV in my current organisation PnbMetlife, where i am working since last 5 years at mumbai location. The key to achieve success in actuarial career is the time management and clearing exams on time.
Actuarial science is suitable for those who like to rely on cold hard facts to solve a problem. With that being said, besides using mathematics and statistics, you need to use economics, finance, risk management, computer science, and extensive research to solve crises. Using all these tools will keep your mind constantly stimulated so it means you will never get bored. I am Neha Jain working as an Actuarial Trainee in Max Life insurance. The biggest challenge that we face today is that without an optimized work/life balance, we may feel as if you’re “sacrificing” important areas of your life just to pass your tests.
The Actuarial profession is an opportunity to equip yourself with knowledge of practically analysing any problem which has a risk element to it and devising the loss minimisingstrategies . It contributes to shaping a new probabilistic perspective in an individual's personality. The conceptual discipline the actuarial studies require can only be rendered by mathematically and professionally efficient faculty which was here to see at Alpha Plus when I began my career as an Undergraduate. With the guidance and support in classroom teaching and recruitment updates, I was able to clear 7 CT Series Exams and secure a package of 4.5 lacs working as an Actuarial Analyst at WNS Global Services. Having studied most of core CT exams at Alpha Plus, a heartfelt thanks to Aditya sir for getting me to sail through complex actuarial concepts, owing to his effective communication and sound mathematical reasoning abilities.
Apart from third-party support, one need not be ignorant about the self development which is required to thrive in the Actuarial Profession, which includes strong mathematical understanding, development of technical acumen and communication skills. Also effective connection building within the actuarial industry has been a crucial factor for freshers in securing a job.
Actuarial science is a relatively new career, keeping in mind the age old clichés that are present. A person who studies the course can now be a part of the Insurance companies, health insurance companies, actuarial consulting firms. The fact is that actuaries are amongst the highest paid individuals today. Actuarial is a challenging yet a highly rewarding career in any part of the world. Students should note that this is a career that requires good knowledge and understanding of subjects such as maths, economics and statistics. It also requires a lot of hardwork, dedication and patience to succeed and become a successful actuary.
I, Arjun Batra, pursued graduation in Mathematics from Kirori Mal College and have a post graduation degree in Actuarial Science from Amity University. I currently work with Deloitte as an Actuarial Analyst with a CTC of 8.1L p.a. I have cleared 2 exams so far, CT1 & CT3.

Manish sir, Deepak sir, aditya sir, kiran mam, are a great team who are way beyond their time in upbringing and nurturing talent. I am blessed to be able to receive their expertise.

I was new to Actuarial world but the teachers and staff never let me feel that way. Their experience and commitment came in handy at ever turn.
